Where and when to go to Malaysia?

A Multicultural Trip

Malaysia is divided into two parts: the Western peninsula and the two Eastern states, on Borneo Island. These three territories are subject to different climates.
Generally, Malaysia has an equatorial climate, very hot and humid, with small temperature variation and heavy rain due to both monsoon seasons.

It is almost impossible to avoid the rain – living in the tropics does have its disadvantages too! Apart from these seasonal variations, you should avoid visiting Malaysia during two times: Chinese New Year, which sees the arrival of hordes of tourists, and Ramadan, when business is slower.
