Tambunan Valley, in Sabah, is surrounded by the Kinabalu mountain range – also known as the Crocker Range – which separates the valley from the coastal plain. Tambunan is also a small town located between the folds of the Crocker Range, approximately 81 km (50 miles) from Kota Kinabalu.
