Semporna Archipelago

Sipadan, the only oceanic island in Malaysia, stands at 600 m (1,969 feet) above the seabed. It is located in the eastern part of Tawau Island, in the Celebes Sea. The island was created from living coral that grew after spending several thousand years on top of an extinct volcano.
