Pulau Tiga is part of a group of small, uninhabited Malaysian islands in Kimanis Bay, on the west coast of Sabah. The islands were created on the 21st of September 1897, when an earthquake in Mindanao caused a volcanic eruption near Borneo. The island covers 1,500 acres. There are several active mud volcanoes in the highest part of the island.
