Mount Kinabalu

Mount Kinabalu, which peaks at 4,095 metres (13,435 feet) above sea level, is one of the tallest mountains in Southeast Asia, between the Himalayas and the mountains of Papua New Guinea. It is located in the state of Sabah (Malaysia), in the north-eastern part of Borneo Island. It is marked by an incredible biological diversity and is home to many native species, namely several Nepenthes carnivorous plants and a very rare orchid, Paphiopedilum rothschildianum. A national park manages the site.
