Mount Kinabalu National Park

This park, located in Sabah State, in the northern part of Borneo Island is crowned by Mount Kinabalu. It is marked by a wide range of habitats: lush, ombrophilous rainforests spread out over plains and hills, mountainous rainforests and, higher up, evergreen subalpine forests and bushes. Kinabalu Park was designated as a Centre of Plant Diversity for Southeast Asia. It is home to an exceptionally rich variety of species, including Himalayan, Chinese, Australian, Malay and pantropical flora.
